Mission Statement
At The Mission Field Home, my mission is to encourage and equip Christian homemakers and homeschool moms to see their homes as a mission field: where discipleship begins, faith is lived out daily, and the love of Christ is shared with every act of service. Through faith filled homemaking, intentional motherhood, and Christ centered homeschooling, this space exists to inspire women to glorify God right where He has placed them: in the heart of their homes.
Statement of Faith
the scriptures
We believe the Scriptures, both Old and New Testaments in their entirety, to be the verbally inspired Word of God.
the godhead
We believe in one God, Creator of all things, infinite, perfect, and eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
salvation
We believe that Jesus Christ and His Resurrection provide the only ground for salvation: that salvation is by God’s grace alone.
meet the family
My husband, Orlando, and I have been together for 12 years and married for 10. Over the course of our marriage, we have been blessed with four wonderful children: our daughters, Mali and Naya, and our sons, Jerry and Josiah. Our family also includes two beloved fur babies: Spot and Luna.
how we serve
Together, Orlando and I have had the privilege of serving in various ministry roles including Youth Pastors, Children’s Ministry Leaders, Missional Food Pantry Directors, and Deacons. Our heart is to continue partnering with the Lord through outreach and evangelism, serving faithfully alongside our children. As a family, we are passionate about advancing the Kingdom of God and believe that the world is in great need of the hope and truth found in Jesus Christ. As His disciples, we are committed to meeting that need and sharing His love with people of every background, race, and nation.
Our homeschool journey
The 2025-2026 school year marks our sixth year of homeschooling. We first felt called to home education in 2018, when our oldest was just three years old, and officially began our homeschooling journey the following year. Since then, homeschooling has been an incredible blessing to our family. It has allowed us to strengthen family bonds, enjoy the flexibility to travel during off-seasons, and design our daily routines around Orlando’s work schedule. With his demanding hours in the HVAC field, we’re especially grateful for the freedom homeschooling provides, enabling us to spend meaningful time together as a family.
