We have absolutely loved using The Good and the Beautiful language arts in our home for many years. It has helped nurture a love for reading and provided a gentle, literature-rich foundation in the early elementary years.
However, as we prepare our rising 5th grader for middle school, I realized we needed to focus more on structured writing, grammar mastery, and independent learning skills.
