I’m a paper and pen girlie through and through. Aside from planners, journals also have my heart. Throughout the years my journaling style has changed, both in creativity and the purpose of the journals. For 2025 I decided to switch it up, again, and add a couple more journals to my stack. There are a total of 5 journals that I currently have in stock to use in the new year, but of course, that can increase or decrease throughout the year.
Nature/Art Journal
The first journal I have is my nature and art journal. This one is mostly used during our homeschool days and originally was purchased for nature journaling. But seeing as how we don’t spend tons of time outdoors and when we are outside, we forget to bring our journals, I decided to also use this as an art journal.
Dream Journal
This journal will be dedicated to dreams I have at night. I won’t write every single dream because some of them are not really dreams I want to remember, but the ones I do will go here. Specially any dreams that might have some sort of spiritual meaning behind them or dreams about my family.
Reading Journal
As a reader, I love to keep track of the books that I’m reading and my thoughts on them, so I’m picking up a reading journal again this year. The difference between this one and my previous ones, is that this journal is already set up for me. I went this route because I don’t have the time to bullet journal every time I want to write about a book I finished. This way, it’s already set up, and I can go right in and jot down my thoughts before I forget.
Five Year Diary
This is new to me this year. I have never had a 5 year journal but I decided to do it for memory keeping. In this journal, I keep a daily record of whatever memories, big or small, we make with the kids. As a homeschool mom that has her kids 24/7, there are lots of things I would like to keep some sort of record of. This will differ from a homeschool planner, though. This is more for the special moments!
Everything Journal
Last but not least, we have my everything journal. This is the journal where I write my deepest thoughts, my brain dumps, my goals, my wants. It’s the journal where I create pretty spreads and not so pretty ones. The one where I write down every single thing. It’s special to me in many ways and I can’t wait to keep filling it up!
In this video, I show you what each journal looks like inside. Go take a look and let me know what you think.
