Planner season is here!!! September is the month of new planner releases which excites the heck out of a planner and journal junkie like me.
I have been doing tons and tons of research on what planner I wanted to use in 2025 for the last month and a half. I knew I wanted something different from the planner I have been using the last few years, which is the Plum Paper Planner. Now, don’t get me wrong, I have absolutely loved planning in my PPP but I’ve been ready for something new. I guess you can say that I’ve been looking for something more minimal.
With my PPP, there are so many sections and customizations that I don’t end up using after spending money on adding them. For example, the budget section. Every year, I add the entire budget section, use up a couple pages and then never touch it and never even look at it. It’s honestly a waste of money. This year, I decided I would rather have multiple planners, each with their own function, versus one big, bulky planner with a wide variety of things to keep track of.
I came across the Hobonichi planner after watching a bunch of videos on youtube and I really liked it. The only problem was that it had Japenese quotes that, to me, took up space that I could use for note taking or what not. So I kind of decided against ordering the Hobonichi planner. But I kept looking for similar ones and I discover the Sterling Ink planners.
I fell in love with Sterling Ink and comitted to buying a couple of them for 2025 but I was indecisive about which sizes to get. I’m so used to PPP’s 7.9×11 size that I wanted something similar, but at the same, something easier to take along with me whenever I was on the go. My PPP was one I hated taking along because it was so big and the cover I had on it, also from PPP, was not sturdy at all.

Sterling Ink N1 (TN) Horizontal
I’m excited about all my planners this year, but if I had to choose which one I was most excited about, it would be this one: Sterling Ink’s N1 (TN Standard) Horizontal Common Planner. This is the full year version so it’s a chunky one and I love chunky planners!
This planner will function as my personal everyday carry. It sits in this beautiful pebbled, taupe colored Moterm cover that I’ll be using as a wallet as well. The quality of this planner is amazing. The layout is new to me but I think it’s going to be extremely functional.

Sterling Ink B6 Slim Vertical
The next planner I will be using in 2025 is Sterling Ink’s B6 Slim Vertical Common Planner, which will function as my content planner. Originally I purchased this one to function as a reading planner but I went a different route with that. Since I will be focusing a lot more on this blog and my YouTube channels next year, I decided I needed to stay a lot more organized than I am now so this is when the switch happened.
I love that this one is small and compact and has enough pages for me to brainstorm ideas and write notes for my videos. I can also write down all my goals and keep track of when I’m posting on the different platforms.

Budget Planner + Savings Envelopes
Budgeting is one of our main focuses for the new year, especially with us officially starting our HVAC business here in Indiana. Not only budgeting but saving! We opted in cash savings because frankly, card swiping is a dangerous thing! What I mean is that swiping a card or online shopping is problem the most dangerous thing for a stay at home mom, lol. So we’re going CASH!
I chose this simple and affordable budget planner from Soomeet on Amazon. I love how this planner is set up. It’s super functional and has everything I personally need to plan my budget every month.

My Cash envelopes binder were actually a gift from my mom! I love her so much! I had already planned to use one that I had purchased many years ago and it was not even close to being aesthetically pleasing but then she gave this one. It’s super cute but super functional as well. The envelopes are pretty big so it gives room for you to put in money without struggling to make it fit. And it came with those budget sheets which I love! Such an easy way to know how much money you have in each envelope.
