This Summer, I didn’t think I would get much reading done. Not only was I on bed rest and always tired the first half of the summer, buy during the second half, I was adjusting to life with a newborn in the mix. Reading definitely was put on the back burner while I got the hang of being a mom to four. I was pretty much on survival mode, to say the least.

But I surprised myself! I got some books read and leaned in on audiobooks more than I usually do which helped me stay out of a reading slump. Normally, if I don’t pick up a book right away after finishing one, I find myself falling into this really bad funk where I want to read but never know what to pick up. So having audiobooks to listen to was definitely a life saver in those instances.

Overall, I think I had a good reading season. Would I have wanted to read more? Of course! But I read some quality books this summer and I’m not mad about it. There was only one book that I didn’t finish and everything else was either a 4 or 5 star for me.

I talk more about my thoughts on each book on my booktube channel. Be sure to go watch the video!
